it’s almost as if tptb had to take the opportunity in the penultimate episode to have the only person sherlock loves (john) tell sherlock that he shouldn’t waste another minute of his life denying the fact that he loves someone (john) after being estranged from the person he loves (john). it’s almost as if sherlock needs some form of affirmation and encouragement that john still supports and needs him before he’s able to make himself vulnerable

It’s almost as if Sherlock should have said something then because now John is in big trouble

it’s almost as if they’re waiting for the ultimate climactic moment in a 3-part series of 90 minutes each to resolve this particular issue that’s been central to the show from episode 1
